This Privacy Policy explains how XPERIAUM ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Shivanand Venkatesh Kamat as a sole proprietorship based in Bengaluru, India, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website or order a custom song, Heirloom Music service, or an Aumkara personalised devotional blessing reel.
We are an early-stage, individually-run service. We handle your data carefully and only use it for the purposes described below.

We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party advertising pixels on our site beyond standard, non-invasive website hosting logs (e.g., basic visitor counts from our hosting provider).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your story details for any purpose beyond creating your song, unless you separately agree.
Your story details and lyric preferences may be processed using third-party AI tools (including Suno AI and general-purpose AI language models) to help draft lyrics and generate music. These tools process the information you provide in order to produce your song. We review and edit all AI output before it reaches you. We do not knowingly submit sensitive personal identifiers (such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or medical information) to these tools, and you should avoid including such details in your story submission.
This section applies only if you order an Aumkara blessing reel. Please read it carefully, because photographs of your face are more sensitive than the other information we handle.
In plain words:
What we ask for. Two photographs: one showing you from roughly the waist up, and one closer photograph of your face. We also ask for one verification selfie holding a short code we give you, so that nobody can order a blessing reel using someone else's photograph. That is all. We deliberately do not ask for multiple angles or a set of profile shots, because we do not need them and collecting more than we need would not be right.
What we do with them. We use your photographs solely to compose and generate your reel. We do not use them for any other purpose, we do not add them to any dataset, and we do not use them to train any AI model.
Third-party processing. Your reel is generated using Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. This means your photograph is transmitted to and processed by Google under Google Cloud's commercial terms, where we act as the data controller and Google acts as our data processor. Under those terms, your images are not used to train Google's models. We cannot, however, independently guarantee erasure from a third party's systems, and we would rather tell you that plainly than promise something we cannot verify.
Retention. We delete your photographs, the verification selfie, and all intermediate working files from our systems within 7 days of delivering your reel. We do this automatically — you do not need to ask. We keep your finished reel only until you confirm receipt, plus a short grace period in case you need it re-sent.
Publishing. We will never post your reel, your photograph, or your name publicly without a separate, explicit opt-in from you. It is a separate tick-box, it is never pre-ticked, and declining it does not affect your order in any way.
AI labelling. Every reel we deliver carries a visible "AI-generated" label and retains its provenance metadata, as required under India's information technology rules for synthetically generated content. Please do not remove or obscure it.
What we will not accept. We cannot create a reel from a photograph of someone who has passed away. We also cannot use photographs taken at a temple or a public pandal, both because such photographs may include an idol protected by someone else's rights, and because our process needs a plain background. Please send a photograph taken at home against a plain wall.
Your responsibility. By placing an order you confirm that the photograph is of yourself, or that you have the written permission of the person shown. Please do not send us photographs of anyone who has not agreed to it.
We will never publish your song, your story details, or any names/photos you've shared, publicly (including on our social media or as a portfolio sample) without asking your explicit permission first.
We retain your order details and story information for as long as reasonably necessary to complete your order, handle any revisions, and maintain basic business records (e.g., for future re-orders or support requests). If you'd like us to delete your information after your song is delivered, message us on WhatsApp and we will do so, except where we're required to retain limited transaction records for legal or accounting purposes. Photographs submitted for Aumkara blessing reels are an exception: we delete these automatically within 7 days, without you needing to ask (see Section 3A).
As a solo operator, we take reasonable, practical steps to protect your information — including keeping order and story details in access-controlled personal accounts and not sharing them beyond what's needed to produce your song. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission (including WhatsApp, email, or standard web forms) is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Service is intended for adults placing orders (e.g., for a birthday song about or for a child). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If a song's subject is a child, we rely on the ordering adult to share only information they're comfortable providing.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Policy or our handling of your information will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our service grows (for example, if we add a payment gateway or additional tools). Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
